Recoil ‎– Jezebel

Recoil
Jezebel
2000 Mute

This was double tough… where to go after Nettwerk and which Recoil (because it’s all gold). We all know that Alan Wilder was a major workhorse for Depeche Mode and after he left they were missing just a bit of the magic. Recoil is where that magic went. From the Liquid album we have a great mix of “Jezebel” (featuring The Golden Gate Jubilee Quartet) and “Electro Blues For Bukka White” from Bloodline. Most importantly, the complete beautifully dark “Black Box” which was inspired by his brush with death when a bomber went down in front of him while driving in Scotland. Another Intro masterpiece for the artwork.

  3. Electro Blues For Bukka White (2000 Mix)
  4. Black Box (Complete)

                                                          1. Thank you. I've never heard this remix, then again, I need to revisit my Recoil files. The story behind 'Black Box' sounds incredible.
