Let’s start 2019 with a wicked mix with a lot of big tracks. Part one of the short lived Yoshiesque series from Dubfire and Sharam aka Deep Dish. I’ll be the first to admit my clubbing days are over and my tastes have turned a bit away from the dance floor but it’s always fun to pop on a mix like these and remember the good ol’ days. Lets celebrate the opening of T2. I introduced my teenage boy to the brilliant movie this weekend (can’t believe its been 21 years!) in preparation of seeing the new one. The .NUXX version is featured in the movie and was the b-side to the original “Born Slippy” single in 1995. If my facts are correct the name comes from the winning dog they bet on at the tracks. And the .Nuxx was inspired by a fault on the computer working files. These lads have never let us down in my opinion, even in their synth-pop days. Of course I can’t sign off without giving props to Tomato (of which Rick & Karl co-founded) for the design.
