M-1 Alternative
Aviary
1991 C'est La Mort
Back to the trois format!
While doing a bit of web browsing the other day I came across the brilliant blog Nothin' Sez Somethin’. NØ had a post highlighting the dazzling C'est La Mort label and a great selection of their releases (a couple that I didn’t have as well!). So as a special nod to my new blogmate, I’ve got three of my favourites. Gorgeous guitars, brilliant bass and the truly unique voice of Bruce Musser & Joshua Maremont make M-1 Alternative one of my top 5 on the label roster. For those of you that have missed out on the label, you can read a great write up of the genius founder Woodrow Dumas’s project on NØ’s blog. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

DeleteNO ...Greetings, why haven't I found your blog before? It is wonderful iii and this time if I found it by looking for m11alternative music, I have a long history looking for it but it is more than 20 years that I have not heard anything from the aviary EP, you have it but I do not see it, would you help me tell me where I can find it please I would appreciate it very much, in advance Thank you
DeleteSorry it took a few days to get back. Been listening to this gem on heavy rotation. I'm listening to "Tearhouse" as I write this. "Walking on the Weatherfront" & " Regards to Oblivion" are forever imbedded in my brain. Great, great tuneage IMO. Do you happen to have the other Woodrow offering (The Little Threshing Floor)? Just wondering as a newbie Alternative junkie. Thanks ever so much for adding to the available wonders of such a great label & person.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, thrilled that you are loving it! It's truly a masterpiece in my eyes. I do have "The Little Threshing Floor" - it's equally amazing. Let me get it your way in a bit.
DeleteMuch appreciated in advance.
