Lets celebrate the opening of T2. I introduced my teenage boy to the brilliant movie this weekend (can’t believe its been 21 years!) in preparation of seeing the new one. The .NUXX version is featured in the movie and was the b-side to the original “Born Slippy” single in 1995. If my facts are correct the name comes from the winning dog they bet on at the tracks. And the .Nuxx was inspired by a fault on the computer working files. These lads have never let us down in my opinion, even in their synth-pop days. Of course I can’t sign off without giving props to Tomato (of which Rick & Karl co-founded) for the design.
- Born Slippy .NUXX
- Born Slippy .NUXX (Deep Pan)
- Born Slippy .NUXX (Darren Price Mix)
- Born Slippy .NUXX (Darren Price Remix)
- Born Slippy .NUXX (Short)
- Dark + Long (Dark Train)
- Banstyle (Alex Reece Mix)
Enjoy!

Always wondered about the peculiar .NUXX name - thanks for revealing that bit of trivia!
ReplyDeleteKinda surprised about the "Trainspotting" sequel - the original is a classic, but were fans begging for a follow-up? Apparently, one critic described Ewan McGregor as the best aged heroin addict ever :-)
Choose life!
I was surprised as well Shelf, didn't even know they were working on it until i saw the soundtrack a while back. I understand that it's loosely based off Irvine Welsh's follow up novel "Porno". I trust Danny Boyle will put together some sweet visuals like the first but will keep in mind it's a sequel :) Great comment on McGregor, love that guy...
DeleteI'm with Shelf on this one. It might be a few years until I actually sit down and watch the original with my daughter, but I am looking forward to T2. I already have the soundtrack and have seen limited previews.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'll be waiting a while more for my daughter as well. Headed to it tonight and looking forward to seeing the amazing cast in action again! Great new soundtrack as well, got to love "Lust For Life" (The Prodigy Remix) and "Slow Slippy". Hope they do two volumes again.
